Supporting the Storey Arms Outdoor Education Centre

Who We Are
We set up the Friends of Storey Arms in 2010 as a means of raising money to help children and young people from the more deprived areas of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to attend courses at the Storey Arms Centre. In early 2015 we became a registered charity (No. 1159829)
The Storey Arms Centre is owned and operated by the Education Service of Cardiff Council and is based in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog, the Brecon Beacons National Park. It welcomes school and youth groups for residential and day visits, providing opportunities to explore and learn from the outdoor environment.
Most of us who are involved in the Friends of Storey Arms have links with the centre – as a participant, a parent or a member of staff.
What We Do

— We Hold Funds
The Friends of Storey Arms holds donations from interested organisations and individuals, together with money raised through our events.

— We Raise Money
We hold events each year to raise funds to support our work.
We apply for funds from other funding organisations.

— We Help
We provide financial assistance for pupils and/or cover transport costs, enabling more young people to enjoy the benefits of a visit to the Storey Arms Centre.

— We Provide
We use our funds to improve the opportunities for all visitors to the Storey Arms Centre, through providing resources and additional support to the centre.
05.
— We Have Fun
We act as a social focal point for those who have an interest in the Storey Arms Centre. We hold social events such as Family Weekends and meals out, where fund raising takes a back seat!

— We Work Together
We are always looking for new supporters and anyone who is interested in helping out on any of our events or becoming more involved as a committee member. Everyone is welcome!
